We are proud to announce our latest in‐house development named RescueMate®.
RescueMate® is a speaking, interactive voice‐guided instrument that incorporates a new platform for education/training and treatment of acute emergencies. The device has a smart decision tree based on asking the lay rescuer or first responder/officer questions regarding the emergency. Simply answering Yes or No will guide rescuers to the proper protocol for handling the emergency at hand.

It’s a three step approach:
1. listening
2. answering
3. following instructions

Our RescueMate® platform offers great opportunities for new education and training modules while for customers it holds the advantage of more quality at lower integrated costs.

Studies have shown that even trained first responders hesitate when emergencies are really serious and people’s lives are in danger. Know‐how gathered through conventional training and education is for the most part forgotten within 3 months. Re‐training is usually
scheduled only once a year or every two years. This leaves a gap, which is a problem because rescuers lose competence and become insecure, not knowing what to do.

RescueMate® fills this gap by creating on‐site training options with backup from certified training companies based on competence‐based teaching modules.
If emergencies occur, the RescueMate® emergency instruction device provides proper backup and makes sure the rescuers get assistance whenever needed.

RescueMate® can come with a matching first‐aid kit containing procedure packs. These packs cover all first aid material needed and are linked by colour coding and texts to make them easy and simple to use.

If occupational health and safety needs a platform in which a variety of options is available to simplify needs combined with higher quality, RescueMate® is the way to go.

Resuscitation 2010

The 10th  Congress of the European Resuscitation Council will take place in Porto, Portugal on 2, 3 & 4 December 2010. The 2010 Resuscitation Guidelines will be hot off the press when the  Congress opens on December 2^nd and will be the central theme of this meeting. The Flemish Parliament bought 3 Lifepak AED’s. Two devices are installed inside the Parliament.
The third AED will be placed in public access outside the building.

AED Solutions is equipping all Dutch police vehicles (cars, motor cycles, boats and helicopters) which are used for responding to 112 calls with AEDs. The total number of AEDs needed by the police is 3200. 20,000 police officers will be trained.
AED Solutions has been chosen by the Dutch police because of its innovative approach in general and more specifically to training. State of the art teaching and training methods for resuscitation and the use of an AED will be used, e.g. interactive learning through the internet (www.trainaed.eu) and individual training devices (www.minianne.eu). AED Solutions will not only provide the AEDs and accessories, but will also carry out maintenance, in order to make sure that the police and you will always dispose of AEDs in perfect working order!
